I was born and raised in and around Raleigh, NC and graduated from Meredith College with a bachelors degree in Interior Design with a minor in Art.  

After graduation, I moved to Myrtle Beach and worked in the tourism industry.  For 13 years, I worked for a local family-owned business developing a wide range of skills. As I created and maintained a business brand, I recalled a compliment given to me by my Color Theory professor.  She explained that I have a unique ability to use my left and right brain somewhat equally allowing creativity balanced with logic.  It's a compliment I've grown to understand and appreciate as I have aged (with grace). 

In 2015, I enrolled in HGTC to pursue an Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology and have found a home in Mammography at CMC.  I get to assist women in screening for Breast Cancer.  Having a strong family History of that disease, I am happy to be helping others get through potentially unnerving testing.

My love for photography has grown over the last 12 years. I bought a Canon DSLR on a whim to take pictures of my three year old son and have been able to capture priceless memories over the years.  I believe a camera is simply a tool to accomplish Art through composition.  To me, photography is more than a picture.  My photos remind me of moments, feelings, and times I cannot get back.  There are some photos that bring good memories/emotions and some that can evoke pain.  

It's all in the details!

I am a child of God, mother, dog-mom, Mammographer, and a hobbyist photographer on the side.  I love to read (because I am an introvert by birth), but I also enjoy singing hymns and worship songs and talking about Jesus (because I have trained myself to work on my hidden extrovert).  

Anyone who knows me will attest to my drive for excellence and my tenacity to overcome despite life's many challenges.  I have an eye for design and have high standards in most anything I set out to do.
